About Jericho Voice

Jericho Voice was created by parents who grew tired of the personal politics, selective access, and insider networks that have shaped this district for far too long. For years, influence was traded informally, narratives were managed, and decisions were filtered through personal alliances rather than transparent process. Families were left without clarity, without visibility, and without a responsible explanation for how decisions were made.

We built Jericho Voice to change that.

Why We Exist

School governance is not a platform for personal branding or self-promotion. Trustees are not elected to maintain appearances, protect relationships, or rubber-stamp decisions. Their responsibility is singular: the long-term strength of the district and the well-being of its students.

Too often, people have run for the board to raise their personal profile or align with social circles rather than to serve the district. That culture has weakened accountability and shifted attention away from the work that actually matters.

Jericho Voice exists to re-center the conversation on what’s important: results, data, integrity, and the best interests of children.

How We Approach Oversight

We evaluate actions, policies, and outcomes — not personalities. We do not align with individuals. We do not operate as a cheering section. We question everything because that is the responsibility of any community that cares about its schools.

Our expectations are simple:

  • Ask why decisions are made, not just whether they sound good.

  • Stop excusing ignorance, missteps, or “this is how it’s always been done.”

  • Demand clear reasoning, documented safeguards, and transparent accountability.

  • Reject political talking points when the data contradicts them.

When analysis is needed, we become experts. When information is missing, we dig. When explanations are inadequate, we ask again. Oversight isn’t adversarial; it’s the foundation of a responsible district.

Our Commitment to Evidence

Every report we publish is grounded in verifiable data, public records, state filings, and district documentation. We back our work with facts, not assumptions. If anyone disagrees with our analysis, they are welcome to submit a rebuttal. We will publish it in full. Open, transparent debate is healthy and necessary.

Why Constant Vigilance Matters

A high-performing district can still lose its way if the community stops paying attention. Falling asleep at the wheel invites the same patterns that brought Jericho to this point: selective access, unexamined decisions, and governance guided by personal politics instead of collective responsibility.

Jericho Voice exists to ensure accountability never depends on who holds a seat, who speaks the loudest, or who benefits from silence. It is a commitment to rigorous questioning, data-driven analysis, and the belief that our children deserve a district governed by competence, honesty, and purpose.
